About Living Office Body02

Description

Everyone is asking for an office of the future although a better question may be to ask about the work of the future. When we discuss the workplace of the future, we trap ourselves within the offices we currently have. Henry Ford said, “If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses.” We don’t need a faster horse, we need a whole new model. Instead of asking what the office of the future is, we need to understand the work of the future, what it could be, and we want it to be. The work of the future will champion synergy, empathy, creativity, playfulness, humor, and kindness because these are uniquely human and can never be replaced by a machine. The new concept of work will guide the spaces we design to support it. And they won’t be offices.
