Successfully managing the workplace transformation process can minimize disruption and increase acceptance of a new space. In this session, we’ll provide insight into why change management is important, what it takes to manage change, and share best practices that have been developed through helping organizations implement new workplace strategies. We will analyze some of the common pitfalls of not paying attention to change management, and discuss how change management has evolved to address the needs of agile organizations.
Jesse Garcia is a Senior Workplace Knowledge Consultant and a knowledge leader at Herman Miller, bringing relevant insights to customers and design partners. Jesse has presented this popular topic at IIDEX-Canada in Toronto, NeoCon East, and IFMA-San Diego. His research interests include employee engagement as it relates to the physical environment; constructs around productivity and performance in the workplace; the strategic role of change management as a pathway to success; and the rise of women in degree programs in the U.S. and how this may impact the future of work
