Hello from Chicago
This time each year, Chicago is usually buzzing with activity and excitement around NeoCon. In 2019 Herman Miller announced that after 80 years in the Merchandise Mart, they’d be moving into a new location at 1100 W. Fulton Street in the Fulton Market District. Construction has begun on its new 5-story building that will house showrooms for Herman Miller, Geiger, and Maharam, as well as a ground-level retail presence for Herman Miller, DWR, and HAY. All nine of their brands will have products represented across the various floors in the building. We are looking forward to meeting our clients in their new permanent space in 2021.
In the meantime, Herman Miller's pop-up showroom location showcases Herman Miller Group with Herman Miller, Maharam, and Geiger all under one roof. Herman Miller and Chicago have a rich showroom history. As they gather their family of brands together under one roof, we're excited to see their next chapter, continuing the legacy of timeless design and innovation. For their new home in the Fulton Market District, they're creating the next generation of showroom design where both contract and retail customers will experience endless design inspiration and ideas.
Despite Herman Miller's temporary stay, they have embraced the pop-up nature and have created a strong sense of place for their family of brands.
