Copperleaf Apartments, a collaborative development by Bridge Housing and Community Roots Housing, reflects a shared commitment to creating equitable, community-centered housing.
With a focus on supporting residents beyond just providing a place to live, the vision was to move away from traditional multi-family design and instead create an environment that feels like home from the moment residents walk through the door.
Catalyst partnered with the project team to bring this mission to life through thoughtful furniture and finish selections that balance comfort, durability, and purpose. The aesthetic played an important role in reinforcing a sense of identity and belonging, with subtle inspiration drawn from the Copperleaf brand to create a cohesive and welcoming experience throughout the building.
Every space was designed with the resident experience in mind, supporting both everyday living and access to resources. From shared community areas to dedicated spaces for residential services and staff, the environment reflects a holistic approach to housing. In addition, artwork throughout the space was carefully curated to enhance warmth and reflect the community's character.
Following installation, the client continued to invest in the resident experience by engaging Catalyst for additional enhancements, including acoustic panels for residential hallways, expanded workstations in leasing offices, and a dedicated kids' area within the makers space. Final layers, including curated accessories, helped bring a sense of comfort and authenticity to the space.
The result is a mission-driven environment that supports stability, connection, and well-being, creating a place where residents feel valued, supported, and at home.
