Catalyst + MillerKnoll Pride 2023

We had such a wonderful time at our 2023 Pride event. Ten design firms participated in this fantastic contest to redesign a Nelson Bubble lamp any way they'd like. We were so impressed by the creativity of the design firms. Participants included: Ankrom Moisan, BCRA, Burgess Design, Cushing Terrell, Gensler, HOK, JPC Architects, Mithun, NBBJ, and ZGF. Catalyst and MillerKnoll hosted our guests and participants in our Bellevue, WA showroom!

We want to thank our MillerKnoll team, who helped us organize and plan the event, which included: Jeff Taylor, Kelly Guiney, Sam McNabb, Madison Butterfield, Nanci Scoular, Cindy Strickland, Molly Carlson, Seth Blank, and Alicia Pasion. A big thank you to both Johnny Quintana from Lambert House and Gaysha Starr for sharing your experiences with us and for a fabulous show.

Our attendees participated in a silent auction for each of the lamps, and the bidder who won got to go home with the bubble lamp creation. All the proceeds from the event went to The Lambert House. The Lambert House empowers lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth through the development of leadership, social, and life skills. They serve a diverse group of youth. Over 50% of the youth who come to Lambert House are youth of color, and youth come to Lambert House activities from all over the region representing more than 130 zip codes equally distributed to the North, South, East, and West.
