Umoja Headquarters
Umoja Biopharma, a trailblazer in next-generation cell therapies, moved into its new Seattle hub at 1150 Eastlake Ave E, representing a significant step in fostering greater connection among their world-class team of scientists and researchers.
Inspired by the concept of a ‘Nurse Log,' developed by design firm SABA+BA, Catalyst crafted a custom furniture system centered around a central beam that not only supports power, data, and storage needs but also symbolizes growth within Umoja’s ecosystem. By incorporating organic shapes, layered materials, and curved desks, we achieved a harmonious integration between the workspace and the building’s architecture.
By using sustainable, recycled materials like Forbo, and providing customizable workstation configurations, we ensured that the space could adapt to their evolving needs. Umoja leveraged Catalyst's Cura+e service to source unique accessories and artwork reflecting their mission, further infusing the space with their distinct identity.
The result is a work environment that mirrors Umoja’s innovative spirit and supports its mission to unlock the full potential of cell therapies.
